Migrant Education

Mano en Mano provides educational services to Maine Migrant Education program (Maine MEP) students across the state. Mano en Mano’s regional Migrant Education coordinators work alongside students’ families, teachers, and schools to foster academic growth and success.

The Migrant Education Program originates from the No Child Left Behind/Elementary and Secondary Education Act Title I, Part C. The objective of the program is to "ensure that all migrant students reach challenging academic standards and graduate with a high school diploma (or complete the HiSET) that prepares them for responsible citizenship, further learning and productive employment" (Maine Department of Education).
